Thanks for this Fi, it’s somewhat bitter sweet when I think how people get treated! lol

Reblogged this on ziggy40's Blog and commented:
    wow!

Sorry , wanted to see the OTHER part, googled it and somehow? it seems reblogged, as you know, I’m not experienced yet to MAKE a blog! Sending you love, how are you doing?

It really is bittersweet… I’m chuckling away here that you reblogged it by mistake! Don’t worry, I don’t think most of us are ‘experienced’ when we set out to blog, we just cross our fingers and wing it, well i certainly did, and even by mistake it’s a great first post – kind of like saying “from the outset I’d like you to think differently about eating disorders.”
Even if you never want to actually blog, when people click on your profile to see ‘who you are’ as people do for commenters at times – they’ll get a bonus educational film ;)

Sorry, hadn’t finished my answer lol. How are you doing? I’ve been so wrapped up in my own world that I don’t know if you ended up being discharged or not, and how you are coping at the moment? I hope you have been okay – thinking of you. I’m okay thanks – thank you xxx

Hey Fi, got out of hospital, however my flashback didn’t get any better. My doctor is away, when he returns, he wants me to go in again to trial the drug, ‘minipress’, it’s a heart med, it is not researched at this point, however vets have used it for heart problems, and it ‘seems’ their flashbacks have GONE! It is unclear how this is, but at this point I’m ready to give anything a go. The main problem is ‘minipress’ drops your BP, it maybe that mine drops to low to use this med. at all! Thinking of you, sending gentle hugs.. lol

        • Fiona says:

I’m so sorry that things didn’t get better. Minipress sounds very hopeful! I looked it up as I’d never heard of it, or a medication for PTSD before and will be so interested in how you find it. Hoping and praying it works for you xxx

  4. I’m a bit delayed in watching this…but it is such a great explanation of the intricacies of eating disorders such as anorexia….btw Hope you’re doing okay Fiona…thinking of you….Diane

    • Fiona says:

Hi Diane, I’m glad you found it helpful! I know you are coming from the perspective of someone who doesn’t have an ED, although you ‘get it’ more because of your own struggles – I really want people to understand who don’t have ED’s or have a close relative with an ED – because there is so much misunderstanding out there. Thank you for your wishes, I’m okay – just hit a harder patch so was very quiet for a while. I’ve been thinking of you and hope to catch up asap with you xx

I'd love to hear what you think :)
